Ordering:  To order Call our office (1-800-558-1998 or fax to 1-772-460-7980) on the order date to make sure your order gets processed and shipped on time. On order days we will be in the office to receive your call until 7 pm EST.

After your order has been processed, Indian River Direct will call to let you know the date and approximate time your citrus will arrive. We will do everything possible to make sure your order arrives at the scheduled time, but due to unforeseen conditions, we cannot guarantee a precise time for every delivery. The driver will call you while en route and give a more precise time of arrival. Please DO NOT GO TO THE DELIVERY LOCATION UNTIL YOU HEAR FROM THE DRIVER. When the truck arrives, have your crew ready to help unload it as quickly as possible. This helps speed up your sale and allows the driver to keep his other delivery appointments. (THE TRUCK DRIVER IS NOT REQUIRED TO HELP UNLOAD)

Delivery Location:  Please keep in mind when selecting your delivery address for shipment that a Semi-Truck is approximately 65 feet long and 80,000 lbs.

When Your Citrus Arrives:

Have your crew on sight and ready to unload the citrus. Count the cartons as they are removed from the truck. Verify this count with the driver after all cartons have been unloaded. Sign and date the invoice, and keep two copies. One copy is for your records, the other is your bill. Please return one copy with a check from your organization payable to Indian River Direct. This is the only bill you will receive. All payments must be in U.S. currency.

Sorting:  Please advise your customers on a daily basis to sort through their fruit, eating the ripest first. Remember to report any spoilage within five days of the citrus delivery.

Indian River Direct wants to provide you with only the best citrus. That is why we guarantee our citrus to be fresh. Keep in mind that this is tree ripened and will more tender and juicy than those found in a supermarket. Therefore, please use extreme care in handling (even in the boxes, citrus can be damaged - be gentle). If spoilage does occur, please call us within five days for prompt credit. Indian River Direct backs their fruit with this extended coverage to give you the best in customer service and quality.

Size:  We cannot guarantee a particular size. The crop is harvested according to the sugar content that is best for eating, not to the size of the fruit. There is only one variety allowed in a single box. (either grapefruit only or oranges only).

Oranges:  Each 4/5 bushel box of oranges contains 48 to 100 pieces, depending on the individual size of each piece of fruit. A 2/5 bushel box would be exactly one half of the 4/5 count.

Grapefruit:  Each 4/5 bushel box of grapefruit contains 27 to 40 pieces, depending on the individual size of each piece of fruit. A 2/5 bushel box would be exactly one half of the 4/5 count.

Minimum Order:  

100 Carton Minimum Order Required of 4/5 Bushel Cartons.
200 Carton Minimum Order Required of 2/5 Bushel Cartons.
4/5 & 2/5 Bushels may be mixed to equal minimum order.

Custom Ordering:  If you order 1000 or more cartons you are eligible for custom ordering & delivery.

Early Payment Discounts:

• Discount of 3% of invoice if order is 500-1000 4/5 equivalent bushels.
• Discount of 6% of invoice if order is 1000 or greater 4/5 equivalent bushels.
